Privacy Policy | Outstanding MeMe
This policy took effect on 30 October 2026 and has not been changed since that date.
1. Introduction
Outstanding MeMe operates an Outstanding meme maker at outstandingmeme.video (the "Service"), which turns one to five portraits into a short parody video. This Privacy Policy describes what information the Service collects about you and how we use, disclose, retain and protect it.
2. Information We Collect and Process
The information we hold depends on which features you use, and usually falls into the following categories:
- Account information: your name, email address, login identifiers, profile and preference settings, and session data.
- Generation information: the portraits you upload and the seat each one is assigned to, the resolution, audio option and any outfit note you select, the storyboard stills and videos generated for you, job status, your creation history and the timestamps for each of these.
- Payment and subscription information: which plan or credit pack you bought, your credit balance, order references, payment success or failure, the billing email, invoice details, renewal status and limited payment metadata. Card numbers are entered directly with the payment processor and are never kept on our servers.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages and features visited, request timestamps, error reports, performance data and signals that help us spot abuse.
- Communications: whatever you send to support, such as content reports, privacy requests, feedback and follow-up messages.
- Cookies and similar technologies: data that keeps you signed in, secures your session, stores language or display preferences, measures usage and powers core features.
3. How We Use Information
We process this information to:
- Run the Outstanding meme maker, your account, your creation history, subscriptions and credits
- Confirm your identity at sign-in, maintain your session and help you get back into a locked account
- Send your portraits, the reference frames and your settings to the image and video models that produce your clip, and deliver the finished video back to you
- Handle checkout, credit top-ups and deductions, invoices, cancellations and refunds
- Identify prohibited content, fraud, security incidents and abuse
- Diagnose failed renders, track page performance, understand which options people choose and improve the Service
- Answer support, content, legal and privacy enquiries
- Satisfy what the law asks of us and act on breaches of our Terms of Service
Depending on your location, we rely on one of these legal bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent where the law requires it.
4. Photos and the Clips You Generate
Producing the clip you request means processing your portraits, your settings, the intermediate storyboard stills and the final output, and for that purpose they may be shared with third-party providers of AI models, hosting, storage and safety screening. Right now the Service uses OpenAI’s GPT Image 2 image model to create the storyboard stills and ByteDance’s Seedance 2.5 video model to animate them, both accessed through the API provider Kie. The Service does not provide open-ended text-to-video or standalone image generation. We will update this list if models are added or changed.
A portrait showing a face is used only as the visual reference for the render you requested. We do not build facial-recognition templates from it and do not use it to identify anyone. Please upload pictures only of yourself or of adults who agreed to be in a clip, and do not upload confidential material or personal data you are not entitled to share. Automated safety tools may review uploads and outputs to catch prohibited content and abuse.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies or comparable storage to keep you signed in, protect your account and make core features function. We may also use preference and analytics tools to remember your settings, measure feature usage, investigate slow pages and improve the Service.
Cookie controls live in your browser, and most of ours can be switched off there. Turning off the necessary ones will usually log you out and break the maker. Where the law requires consent for non-essential analytics, we ask for it before those tools are activated.
6. How We Share Information
We never sell personal information. We share it only to the extent needed with:
- AI and content-safety providers that process portraits and outputs for the model you chose or for safety screening
- Cloud hosting and storage providers that run the Service and store the photos and clips it processes
- Payment providers that manage purchases, subscriptions, refunds, fraud screening and tax or billing duties, such as Stripe or any other provider shown at checkout
- Login, email, analytics, monitoring and support providers that help us operate and secure the Service
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect users, rights, safety or the integrity of the Service
- A successor organization in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or asset sale involving the Service, with appropriate safeguards in place
Every provider listed here is contractually limited to using the data for the service we hired it for and must keep it confidential and secure.
7. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, preserve your history, maintain security, settle disputes, enforce our agreements and meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements.
- Account and generation information may be kept while your account remains open or while history features stay switched on.
- Uploaded portraits and generated clips may stay in your history or in the storage required to deliver them.
- Billing and transaction records may be kept for as long as tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention and dispute rules demand.
- Security logs and support conversations may be kept for as long as operational and legal needs reasonably require.
Once we have verified a request to delete data or close an account, eligible personal data is erased or de-identified within 30 calendar days. Encrypted backups may retain a copy for up to 90 further days until backup rotation overwrites it. We may keep certain records longer when needed to comply with the law, prevent fraud, process chargebacks, resolve disputes or defend legal claims.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the law where you live, you may be entitled to:
- Know what categories of personal data we collect, how we use them and who receives them
- Access your personal data or obtain a copy
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete account details
- Ask us to close your account and delete eligible personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive some of your data in a structured, machine-readable format you can move elsewhere
- Withdraw any consent you have given
- Opt out of marketing emails while continuing to receive receipts and security notices
- File a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country
How to exercise your rights
Send an email to support@outstandingmeme.video from the address on your account with the subject line Privacy Request or Account Deletion Request. Tell us whether you want access, correction, export, restriction, objection, account closure or deletion, and point out the account or data concerned.
So that we never disclose or erase someone else's data, we may ask for reasonable details to verify your identity. Eligible requests are confirmed and completed within 30 calendar days of receipt. If the law permits more time for a complex request, we will explain the reason and give you a new completion date. Your name and some other profile fields can be edited directly in Settings.
Some records survive account closure: payment, security, fraud and dispute records stay where the law requires us to hold them or where we legitimately need them to protect the Service and its users.
9. International Data Transfers
The Service and its providers may process your information in countries other than the one you live in. When the law calls for it, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses, recognized adequacy mechanisms and access controls.
10. Security
We protect your information with reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls, credential protection, logging and, where appropriate, content-safety and anti-abuse checks. No online service can promise absolute security.
If we learn of a personal-data incident that the law obliges us to report, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities within the legally required timeframe.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. You must also meet any higher minimum age set by the laws that apply to you. Portraits of minors may not be uploaded for clip generation. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can look into it and delete eligible data.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to or connect with external services, for example the social platforms where you post your clips. Those services have their own privacy policies, and anything they collect on their own is not covered by this Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the Service, our providers or the law change. The current version will always be posted on this page with a new date at the top, and where legally required we will provide additional notice of material changes.
14. Contact Information
